Corrigendum to RFP for DPR for setting up of Post Bank of India and responses to clarifications

Ministry of Finance assured to provide Indian Post Office Consumers Internet Banking Facility within a year. Now, we all face the problem with Indian Post that we can't withdraw fund by ATMs, CBS facility. In a major exercise to boost its profitability, the Department of Posts (DoP) plans to introduce core banking solution besides setting up India Post ATMs and debit cards for its customers. “We have set target of bringing in core banking solution by 2012. It will ensure smooth online transactions . We are giving some e-payment services, but they are fragmented,” a top offical from Department of Post said. He added that the work for setting up 1,000 India Post ATMs was in advanced stage and DoP had already held parleys with vendors on this front. “We will also issue debit cards to our existing savings account-holders,” the source added. DO’s AND DON’Ts FOR BOOKING E-TICKETS THROUGH AGENTS In order to educate people who book e-tickets through agent outlets and eliminate cases of tampering, overcharging, etc., the following Do’s and Don’ts are prescribed. DOs 1) It should be checked whether the agent outlet is an authorised o­ne. The details of authorized agent outlets are available o­n the IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in. The photo ID and the authorization certificate of the agent which is prominently displayed at the agent outlet should be verified. 2) Fill up the booking/cancellation request and insist that your mobile number is fed into the system correctly. An SMS will be received o­n the above mobile number from IRCTC immediately as confirmation of booking. This SMS serves as a valid ticket which can be shown to the TTE along with the following proof of identity (in original) during travel. SQL Server Database Marked Suspect Recovery - SQL

SQL Server database can become marked suspect for several reasons, therefore regular database backup is mandatory. Possible causes include: 1. Denial of access to a database resource by the operating system 2. Anti-virus/3rd party software blocking access 3. The hardware/network issue or corruption of database file(s ) Prior to resetting the status, the database file issue should be resolved. First check error logs and Event Viewer for related messages. If logs offer no help, then one way of resolution: create an empty database, copy over the damaged database files and restart the server. The (copied over) database may come up in the suspect mode. The recovery methods below are last resort only. At minimum the server should be rebooted (Windows restart - hardboot), if possible at all, a database copy should be created.
